Recent Grants Given

City of Trinidad-$100,000 through the Jay Cimino Special Project Fund to purchase playground equipment for Cimino Park. This donation helped the City of Trinidad in their quest to build a signature park in the downtown area.

Carnegie Public Library-$1,000 to purchase a multi-media projector and screen for the new Young Adult Center. The equipment purchased with TCF grant funds will be used for programming designed to promote exploration of the world beyond the confines of Las Animas County.

Spanish Peaks Mental Health Center-$1,000 to expand the Case Management program to help mentally ill clients reclaim their lives . TCF funds will help provide individualized training kits to assit clients in learning or relearning skills such as personal hygiene, house cleaning, parenting and study skills.

Trinidad Area Arts Council's Kiwanis Youth Arts Academy-$1,000 to support no-cost year-round art education for area youth. TCF funds will provide programming support for instruction in art history, drawing, painting, clay, dance and theater.

Holy Trinity Academy-$1,500 to help purchase Math Lab calculators and graphing calculator equipment to provide students with resources and technological skills for the 21st century.

Trinidad School District #1/Trinidad & Las Animas County Chamber of Commerce-$1,500 to purchase Junior Achievement curriculum kits. School District #1 will work with volunteers from the business community to provide business education experiences for students.

Health Services Project-$4,000 to provide a health services needs assessment that will guide service plan development for a Health Services District.
